Beer Kits
Did you know beer can kits are usually vegan friendly too. Beer kits are made with blends of liquid malt concentrate and concentrated hop oils. There are hundreds of hop oils to choose from when making beer kits. The fantastic feature of hop oil is that it is a natural preservative so it gives the beer kits shelf life. So much so many kits can be used well after their suggested best before date. Most often you simply need to replace the yeast as it has a much shorter life. Clearing agents are added during the brewing by some brewers. They are not typically added to kits by their manufacturers.
The facts. It takes about twenty-five minutes to turn a beer kit into a beer wort. Then leave it to ferment for around 7 days. When your Hydrometer shows the same reading for two days then it's time to wash your bottles and bottle your beer. This takes about another 45 mins. Let it age at room temperature for two weeks more then enjoy your hand crafted beer but at fantastic home brew price.
To achieve a full flavoured beer the home brewer can: use two cans to produce a beer exactly as the craft brewer intended: often dubbed by brewers as a "Toucan" beer. Alternatively the brewer may add 1kg of powdered brewing malt or at least 1.2kg of liquid malt to their beer can to produce a beer based on their beer can malt. The volume produced by a beer can may vary between manufacturers. We have a broad range of brewing malts, yeast and hops to take your chosen beer style to a whole new level of taste and delight.
